Ebony Chambers is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in social justice, equity, child welfare, mental health, and diversity. Drawing from her professional expertise and personal journey, she offers consultation and guidance for strategic change management, equity programs, and leadership development to bolster organizational success.
As a speaker, educator, and facilitator, Ebony has made a significant impact across the United States, advocating for improved access to mental health care and fighting against the stigma associated with mental health in underserved communities. She has conducted training sessions on culturally responsive practices in various settings, including schools, universities, and social service agencies, working with nonprofits, consulting firms, and the UC Davis Center for Family Focused Practice.
Ebony's contributions extend to addressing health disparities within her local community, particularly focusing on removing barriers and enhancing access for the LGBTQ community. Recognized for her outstanding achievements and community engagement, she has received several prestigious awards, including the 2017 Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award and the 2018 Bizwomen Headliner award.
Deeply involved in community initiatives, Ebony is a vital part of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Steering Committee and holds the position of Board President for Black Womxn United, an organization dedicated to empowering black womxn and girls. Additionally, she
actively contributes to various committees, such as the California Health and Human Services' Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative Equity Working Group.
